The U.S. Border Patrol, El Paso Sector has encountered record levels of unaccompanied children (UC) crossing the U.S.-Mexico Border this fiscal year to date.
In Fiscal Year 2021 through August 31, more than 20,950 UC’s have been encountered by EPT Border Patrol Agents.
This number surpasses the prior record for UC encounters in Fiscal Year 2019 of 16,159.
Overall, the United States Border Patrol has encountered 130,710 unaccompanied children across the entire southern border. Many of these children are under the age of 12 and are being smuggled and subsequently abandoned at the border.

Sussmann denied any wrongdoing, while withholding the fact that he was working on behalf of former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s presidential campaign.

A BBC Panorama investigation has found evidence that suggests one of Britain’s biggest companies paid a bribe to the former Zimbabwean leader Robert Mugabe.
Documents show British American Tobacco (BAT) was involved in negotiations to pay between $300,000 and $500,000 to Mugabe’s Zanu-PF party in 2013.
The documents also reveal BAT was paying bribes in South Africa and using illegal surveillance to damage rivals.
BAT says it is committed to the highest standards of corporate conduct.
President Mugabe’s 37-year rule was secured through elections marred by allegations of fraud and violence.

Joint Chiefs Chairman Army Gen. Mark Milley single-handedly took top-secret action to preempt then-President Donald Trump from ordering a military strike or launching nuclear weapons, according to a new book.
Which is not possible as, the recently newly self appointed Queen of the Galaxy has all the nuclear codes, or does she?
According to Peril by Bob Woodward and Robert Costa, Milley was worried that after the January 6 Capitol breach, Trump could go rogue and called a secret meeting on January 8 with senior military leaders.
During that meeting, Milley instructed senior military officials in charge of the National Military Command Center, to not take orders from anyone unless he was involved, according to a write-up of the book by CNN.
No matter what you are told, you do the procedure, you do the process, and I’m part of that procedure, Milley told them.
Milley considered it an oath, Woodward and Costa wrote.
The book also revealed that Milley had two back-channel phone calls with China’s top general, to reassure him that the U.S. would not attack, even promising to give him a heads up if it did.
According to a write-up by the Washington Post, Milley four days before the 2020 presidential election assured his Chinese counterpart, Gen. Li Zuocheng of the People’s Liberation Army, that the U.S. would not strike.

New polling shows that the majority of Americans do not approve of President Joe Biden’s new vaccine mandate.

Convention of States Action released new polling Monday that showed 58.6% of those surveyed, do not believe President Biden has the constitutional authority, to force private businesses to require vaccine mandates for employees.
In the same poll, 29.7% of voters said Biden does have the authority, and 11.7% are unsure.
In addition, 55.5% of voters say the mandate sets a precedent that could be abused by future presidents on other issues.

A volcano on the Spanish island of La Palma, in the Canary Islands, has erupted, spewing fountains of lava and ash.

House Democrats have introduced a stand-alone bill to provide $1 billion in funding for Israel’s Iron Dome air defense system.
This bill comes one day after Democrats stripped Iron Dome funding from a short-term spending bill under pressure from the party’s progressive wing.

An Israeli defense contractor last week unveiled a remote-controlled armed robot it says can patrol battle zones, track infiltrators and open fire.
The unmanned vehicle is the latest addition to the world of drone technology, which is rapidly reshaping the modern battlefield.
Proponents say such semi-autonomous machines allow armies to protect their soldiers, while critics fear this marks another dangerous step toward robots making life-or-death decisions.
The four-wheel-drive robot presented, was developed by the state-owned Israel Aerospace Industries REX MKII.

Bonnie Docherty, a senior researcher from the arms division of Human Rights Watch, said such weapons are worrisome because they can’t be trusted to distinguish between combatants and civilians, or make proper calls about the harm attacks may do to nearby civilians.
Machines cannot understand the value of human life, which in essence undermines human dignity and violates human rights laws, Docherty said.
In a 2012 report, Docherty, a lecturer at Harvard Law School, called for fully automated weapons to be banned by international law.
The defense magazine Janes said the development of autonomous ground vehicles has lagged behind autonomous aircraft and boats, because moving across land is far more complex than navigating water or air.

Twenty-seven Republican governors or attorneys general have vowed to fight the latest executive order issued by President Joe Biden, mandating that over 80 million private employees receive COVID vaccinations or undergo weekly testing, or their employer will be fined.
The executive order directs the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Safety and Health Administration, to require private businesses with more than 100 employees mandate that, their workers receive both doses of the COVID-19 vaccine or undergo weekly testing.
Noncompliance would result in fines of $14,000 per violation.
The governors who’ve expressed opposition include those from Arizona, Alabama, Alaska, Arkansas, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, Mississippi, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, North Dakota, Ohio, Oklahoma, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, West Virginia, and Wyoming.
Republican attorneys general from states with Democratic governors who also vowed to fight include Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron and Louisiana AG Jeff Landry.
Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis, with whom Biden has sparred over mask mandates and vaccine passports, said Florida would fight back.

Conservationists use all sorts of methods to keep our furry friends safe, from becoming road kill or having their habitats fragmented.
Increasingly, animal bridges are being employed around the globe in order to preserve our ecosystems.
In the United States alone, it’s estimated that road systems affect the ecology of one-fifth the land area of the country, and that vehicle-animal collisions cost $8 billion a year.
Wildlife overpasses and underpasses help assist animals in safely passing over or under busy roadways, and allows them to continue their path within their habitat, which would otherwise be blocked by asphalt.
The first animal bridges sprung up in France in the 1950s, in fact, Europe is a leader in the sector.
The Netherlands alone has over 600 wildlife crossings, including overpasses and eco-ducts, that protect its populations of badgers, boars, and deer.

In our FRWL series we have covered many aspects of the diaspora of people known as the Jews.
Much of their history has been fabricated to fit in with the bible, that they wrote.
Many peoples covering their story wish to do the same for their own egos, to say they were one of the tribes or the tribe, which is pure folly given the bible is a script designed to tell someone elses story.
As more is revealed those who claim tribe status of Is RA El, will regret doing so.
I have stated the reason for modern day issues in Ethiopia is down to these same Hebrew Annunaki clowns and their own self importance, this article backs that up with science.
For the purpose of this article, I will mainly concentrate on the YDNA of the ancient Tribe of Levi who are also known as the Levites, simply because of the fact that this tribe was mainly composed of males whose priestly roles were passed down from father to son, so they were the dark priests known as Cohens then, think the Sanhedrin.
If they were males, and their priesthood males passed down their inheritance from father to son, then it makes perfect scientific sense to focus mainly on their YDNA.
In this article, I will attempt to prove my theory that the original Levites were of the E1b1b1c M123+ haplogroup.
This theory I will help substantiate by science, using history, geography, the bible, DNA, and what I call inherited Gnosis, since I am also a Levite from the E1b1b1c M123+ haplogroup.
What I mean by this, is that these facts, history and blood are not just something I’m writing about as an outsider looking in, but something that is part of my inheritance, my ancestry and in my DNA.
The E haplogroup has been observed in all Jewish groups world-wide.
According to one major paper, contrasting patterns of Y chromosome variation in Ashkenazi Jewish and host non-Jewish European populations is E-M35, which defines the E1b1b1 (formerly E3b1) haplogroup, and is considered to be the second highest, next to J, for Founding Jewish Lineages in Europe.
It is found in moderate amounts in all Jewish populations, from Ashkenazi, Sephardic, Kurdish, Yemen, Samaritan, and even among Djerba Jewish groups.
The highest variance is observed in African populations, the origin of E3b3 will most probably be among Cushitic/Omotic speaking populations of Southwest and Central Ethiopia.
Kush came from SW Asia.
It has been said by some scientists that the best possible candidate for E3b Israelite ancestry among Jews is E-M123, which is quite common in many Semitic language communities, including among both Ashkenazi and Sephardic Jews, accounting for over 10% of all male lines.
According to Cruciani, E-M123 probably originated in the Middle East, since it is found in a large majority of the populations from that area, and then back migrated to Ethiopia.
We proved that Jewish lineage came from the Far East, and only turns up in the Middle East via migration
He further notes that this sub-clade may have been spread to Europe during the Neolithic agricultural expansion out of the Middle East.
However, because E-M123 is also found in low percentages 1-3% in many southern European and Balkan populations, its origin among Jewish groups remains uncertain.
Yet the fact that both Sephardim and Ashkenazim possess this sub-clade in similar high frequency, supports an Israelite/Middle Eastern origin.
That is what I mean about trying to shoehorn info in line with the bible, and where many go wrong due to a preset idea.
The Ashkenazim or Ashkenazis are considered German Jews, and the Sephardim, Spanish Jews from Spain.
Ashkenazi also originated in far east as well and nothing to do with Germans.
For the purpose of this article, I would like to focus on the founders and oldest of the Levites who were Israelites, and are related to who we know of as the biblical Moses.
Moses was never considered a Jew, he didn’t consider himself one.
He was a Hebrew or Israelite (Exodus 1:5,2:11).
Actually he was part of the cult of Ra, and so like Solomon related to Egypt, but what that confirms is, there is a distinct difference between the Jews and Hebrews and the Jews and Israelites, yet more racism from this group.
Moses also married an Ethiopian Queen from the country of Ethiopia which was in existence about 1,000 years before the Israelites and Jews migrated to Germany and Spain after they were banished from Israel.
There was no Israel, they were banished from India and many other countries.
But Moses marrying an Ethiopian queen, echoes the Solomon and Queen of Sheba story.
Hence, before there was the German Ashkenazi or Spanish Sephardim Jews, there was Moses, the Levites and Ethiopia who were all originally Israelites thousands of years before there were ever people called Ashkenazi or Sephardim Jews.
The Levites are recorded in the Hebrew Bible as direct descendants of Aaron, Israel’s first High Priest.
In fact, the Cohanim are actually a special subsection of the Levites.
This is key to understanding the true DNA of the original Tribe of Levi, and not current claims or priests who may have different DNA and/or claim to be Levites.
They may in fact be modern Levites, but they would not be true ancient Israelites directly descended from Moses, and only a branch of this original DNA tree.
That is the pure ego aspect, yet again one group is more special than the other.
The reason why this DNA is scattered and that there is much confusion surrounding its origins, are the result of a combination of several factors such as the fact that there was an Exodus, yes from India and 106 other countries who banished them.
They were banished from their homeland by the Romans, they had no homeland, they were not from here.
Many were killed and/or conquered over the last 3,000 years.
Therefore, a lot of their DNA has been scattered all over the world, mixed and or wiped out in many of their original homelands.
Another reason, is because when the land of Israel was apportioned among the tribes in the days of Joshua, the Tribe of Levi, being chosen as priests, did not receive land.
However, the tribe of Levi were given cities.
Six cities were given to the tribe as refuge cities for all men of Israel, which were to be controlled by the Levites.
Three of these cities were located on each side of the Jordan River.
Which proves they were not in modern day Israel as we stated in FRWL.
In addition, 42 other cities and their respective open spaces, totaling 48 cities were given to the Tribe of Levi.
Who gave it to them, is the great question.
This article on the Samaritans briefly explains why there is different DNA reporting, and why some members of the priesthood have different Haplogroups.
Their findings reported on four family lineages among the Samaritans, the Tsdaka family tradition: tribe of Menasseh), the Joshua-Marhiv and Danfi families tradition: tribe of Ephraim, and the Cohen family tradition: tribe of Levi.
All Samaritan families were found in haplogroups J1 and J2, except the Cohen family which was found in haplogroup E3b1a-M78.
This article predated the E3b1a subclades based on the research of Cruciani, et al.
The Samaritan Cohen family were Levites until the previous Cohen family died out around 1700, so the fact that they don’t share CMH is expected.
These findings may offer more proof that E1b1 was one of the founding lineages of the Levites.
The E1b1b1 haplogroup (formerly known as haplogroup E3b1) has been observed in all Jewish groups worldwide.
It is considered to be the second most prevalent haplogroup among the Jewish population.
According to one major paper it has also been observed in moderate numbers among individuals from Ashkenazi, Sephardic and Samaritan communities having traditions of descending from the tribe of Levi, suggesting that the E1b1b1 Levites may have existed in Israel before the Diaspora of 70 C.E.
The Samaritan community is a small, isolated, and highly endogamous group today numbering some 650 members who have maintained extensive genealogical records for the past 13–15 generations.
Since the Samaritans maintain extensive and detailed genealogical records, it is possible to construct accurate pedigrees and specific maternal and paternal lineages.
The Samaritan community in the Middle East survives as a distinct religious and cultural sect and constitutes one of the oldest and smallest ethnic minorities in the world.
Y-Chromosome studies have shown that the majority of Samaritans belong to haplogroups J1 and J2, while the Samaritan Cohanim belong to haplogroup E1b1b1a, formerly E3b1a.
The bible says Moses is a Levite, and that he married an Ethiopian.
Moses was one of the true founders of this bloodline who had married an Ethiopian Wife.
And Miriam and Aaron spoke against Moses because of the Ethiopian woman whom he had married; for he had married an Ethiopian.
If Moses was a Levite and he married an Ethiopian, it only makes perfect scientific sense that we would use modern science to research these areas, and see if we can find a dominant DNA Haplogroup that may have been the bloodline of Moses.
After all, for the most part, Ethiopians have not been too much influenced by Western society, and have kept their ancient cultures and countries in tact for thousands of years.
All the while, almost every other country that are mentioned in these DNA studies have been ravaged by wars, conquests, new conquerors who have come into these same said countries wiping out all men and boys, as they rape all the women leaving a new seed in their wombs and in these countries.
What if this researcher finds out it was the Jewish plant their seeds to fit in with society?
It doesn’t take a DNA rock star to figure out that we cannot rely on DNA tests and claims of people who have been conquered, mixed, and whose countries have exchanged DNA hands multiple times.
Only an ill-informed, or family agenda pushing DNA scientist would rely on such misinformation.
The facts now, are that science backs these biblical stories up with the truth that many modern-day Ethiopians are racially connected to the E-M123 haplogroup, and also religiously because they practice the same religious traditions they have kept for thousands of years.
The E-M123 haplogroup dominates this region, which the bible backs this up by saying this is where Moses and his people were said to have been.
In fact, in future articles, I will also prove that the E-M123 haplogroup can be found in many areas where Moses and the Israelites were reported to have been.
One of the highest ever recorded frequencies of E-M123 is found in southern most Ethiopia (Semien Omo Zone) among the Omotic speaking Maale in the Plaster thesis.
E-M123 is best known for its major sub-clade E-M34, which dominates this clade, and E-M123 which is the dominant Haplogroup of the Ethiopians.
The mention of clade brings up Tuesdays show again, remember the 3rd simulation disaster scenario was called Clade X.
Perhaps the term Clade meaning brings us a clue? a group of animals or plants consisting of a shared ancestor and everything that comes from it, is that a clue to who really runs those simulations?
In addition, Flores et al. (2005) found 14 out of 45 men tested in the Dead Sea area of Jordan to be M34 positive (31.1%), and biblically, the Dead Sea was a place of refuge for King David where it is said clearly in the bible; and David made him houses in the city of David, and prepared a place for the ark of God, and pitched for it a tent. 2. Then David said, None ought to carry the ark of God, but the Levites; for them hath the Lord chosen to carry the ark of God, and to minister unto him for ever.
So, not only do we have science proving that E-M123 is the major haplogroup of the Ethiopians, we also have E-M123 as the dominant DNA at the Dead Sea area of Jordan, which is the exact same place where King David took refuge and declared that none ought to carry the ark of God, but the Levites.
Also, the dwelling in caves near the Dead Sea is recorded in the Hebrew Bible as having taken place before the Israelites came to Canaan, and extensively at the time of King David.
And we all know who claim to have the Ark of the Covenant, the Ethiopians.
Therefore, we can either say this science I provide in this article is just an unusual coincidence and just luck of the draw, or we can safely say that this proves the ancient stories in the bible of Moses with the Ethiopians and their thousands of years old religious practices and customs of these same people, proves that the E-M123 haplogroup is the bloodline of the Tribe of Levi.
Hence, now science backs up the stories of the bible with facts, and today we see that they now validate one another as truth that cannot be denied.
Except it doesn’t, but he is correct in stating about the “Jews” in Ethiopia, the rest of it is to fit a narrative of self importance and elevated status, plus fit in with a book written by a UK Crown agent.

Physicists sifting through old particle accelerator data have found evidence of a highly-elusive, never-before-seen process, a so-called triangle singularity.

Any Jewish transgressor brought to the court is immediately seized upon and actions taken, like Epstein for example, do you really think they would allow him to go to court?
This law is discussed in Babylonian Talmud, by Rambam and in Shulchan Aruch.
Shulchan Aruch, however, states that in the cases that if Jews do not testify against other Jews in the gentile court, it will be obvious that Jews are covering up for each other, they should testify.

Mesirah has also been cited as one of the main reasons for the gross underreporting in the sexual abuse cases in Brooklyn’s Haredi community.
In Australia: The mesirah doctrine came under intense public scrutiny in Australia in early 2015, as a result of evidence given to the Royal Commission into Institutional Responses to Child Sexual Abuse relating to an alleged long-running and systematic cover-up of child sexual abuse, and the institutional protection of perpetrators at the exclusive Melbourne boys’ school Yeshiva College.
On 28 January 2015 Fairfax Media reported secret tape recordings and emails had been disclosed, which revealed that members of Australia’s Orthodox Jewish community who assisted police investigations into alleged child sexual abuse, were pressured to remain silent on the matter.
Criminal barrister Alex Lewenberg was alleged to have been disappointed, and to have berated a Jew who had been a victim of a Jewish sex offender, and whom he subsequently regarded as a mossur for breaking with mesirah tradition.
Lewenberg was subsequently found guilty of professional misconduct.
In February 2015 Zephaniah Waks, an adherent of the ultra-Orthodox Hasidic Chabad sect in Melbourne, Australia, testified to the Royal Commission that following his discovery that one of his sons had been sexually abused by Rabbi David Kramer, a teacher at their school, Yeshiva College, he confronted the school’s principal, Rabbi Abraham Glick and demanded that Kramer be sacked.
Waks told of his shock when he learned a few days later that Kramer was still working at the school, and that he again confronted Rabbi Glick, who then claimed that Kramer had admitted his guilt because he wanted to be caught, but that the school could not dismiss Kramer because, Glick claimed he was at risk of self-harm.
Waks also told the Commission that despite his anger, he felt constrained not to go to the authorities because of the doctrine of mesirah.
I thought this was absolutely outrageous, however if I reported this to the police I would be in breach of the Jewish principle of mesirah.
Waks said the concept of mesirah prevented members of the ultra-Orthodox Chabad sect of Judaism from going to secular authorities.
At the very least, the breach of mesirah almost certainly always leads to shunning and intimidation within the Jewish community, and would almost certainly damage marriage prospects of your children.
Giving evidence to the Commission on the day before his father, Menachem Waks, one of three children from the Waks family who were sexually abused by staff at Yeshiva College, testified that after breaking mesirah by going public about his abuse.
He and his family had been ostracised by rabbinical leaders, shunned by his community and subjected to a sustained campaign of abuse, intimidation and threats, which eventually forced Waks to leave Australia with his wife and children.
He also testified about how members of the exclusive Chabad community had pressured him to abandon his advocacy.
I was in fact contacted by several considered community members, and they said to me that the anti-Semites are having a field day with my testimony and my publicity around this issue, and that if I cared about the community, I’d cease doing that straight away.
Counsel Assisting the commission then asked Waks how he felt having been accused of being an informer, I am appalled by it obviously, because the concept of Mesirah really, you can become a death target.
Taken at its literal meaning, you become potentially a target who is legitimate to be murdered, because you’ve gone and cooperated with the authorities.
Now, I’ve never felt threatened for my life, but it does highlight the severity in which this concept is held.
In December 2017, the Commission’s final report included a recommendation to Jewish institutions, all Jewish institutions in Australia should ensure that their complaint handling policies explicitly state, that the halachic concepts of mesirah, moser and loshon horo, do not apply to the communication and reporting of allegations of child sexual abuse to police and other civil authorities.

Why are companies all over the world suddenly desperate for workers?
When the labor shortage started in the United States, a lot of people blamed overly generous government handouts, but that doesn’t explain why the exact same thing is happening in nation after nation all over the globe.
There aren’t enough factory workers, there aren’t enough truck drivers, there aren’t enough port workers, there aren’t enough employees to properly staff our stores, and the shortage of doctors and nurses is becoming a major crisis in some areas.
During normal times, we were always told that the global economy was not producing nearly enough jobs for everyone, but now for the very first time we are facing an enormous worldwide labor shortage.
It is almost as if millions upon millions of people suddenly disappeared from the system.
Earlier today, I was stunned to learn that a new survey has discovered that 69 percent of global companies are having a hard time finding enough people to hire.
A survey of nearly 45,000 employers across 43 countries showed 69 percent of employers reported difficulty filling roles, a 15-year high, according to employment-services provider ManpowerGroup Inc.
At the same time, 15 countries focused in Europe and North America reported their highest hiring intentions since the survey began in 1962.
Just a few years ago, any company that was willing to pay decent wages would be absolutely flooded by job applications.
But now everyone can’t stop talking about the shortage of workers.
So where did all the people go?
Normally, global supply chains run as smooth as butter, but now they are in a complete and utter state of chaos, is because there simply is not enough workers for them to operate.
On a very basic level, we need people to make stuff, pack stuff, ship stuff, transport stuff, unload stuff and sell stuff.
A supply chain crunch that was meant to be temporary now looks like it will last well into next year, as the surging delta variant upends factory production in Asia and disrupts shipping, posing more shocks to the world economy.
Manufacturers reeling from shortages of key components and higher raw material and energy costs, are being forced into bidding wars to get space on vessels, pushing freight rates to records and prompting some exporters to raise prices or simply cancel shipments altogether.
But if we had enough people to do all the jobs that needed to be done, this crisis could be resolved very rapidly.
So where are they?
As inventories get tighter and tighter, that is invariably going to drive up prices.
Earlier this week, one of my readers emailed me about the shortages and price increases that she is seeing in her local area.
I asked her if I could share this with all of you.
You can’t find frozen turkeys, frozen hens, frozen cornish hens, the supply chain has indeed been cut.
There was just one box of oatmeal on the shelves of our local food store, that are normally stocked through the gills with food.
Prices are higher tomato sauce in a can, what was $0.99 cents last year now costs $1.50.
Chicken drumsticks last year were $0.89/pound now they are $ 1.39 per pound.
We only buy meat that has been reduced a rump roast, for instance, was marked down from $18 dollars to $7, that’s a huge price cut, so we look for deals like that, but they are hard to find.
Everything is higher, packaged in smaller boxes and cups and there is not much of it.
We all knew this was coming it’s going to get worse, for lots of people who don’t know what’s happening.
We have goats for goat milk and meat if we need, chickens for eggs and we’ve put back lots of produce we found on sale over the summer, in the freezer to booster our garden.
It’s shocking how much just is not there the shelves are empty, moved closer together, and bare spots are everywhere in grocery stores these days.
I mentioned this in a show when I was still in Florida, so pre August 2018, in particular how many Walmart shelves were empty.
Unfortunately, what we have experienced so far is just the beginning.
Global food supplies are going to continue to get tighter, and that is going to continue to drive up food prices.
Another sector of the economy where the labor shortage is having a big impact is in the healthcare industry.
Lately, I have been coming across lots of stories about people dying because they can’t get the care that they need.
Just before I started writing this article, I came across a heartbreaking story about a 70-year-old woman in Canada that dropped dead after a six hour wait in a local emergency room, when she died early Wednesday in a Kamloops, B.C., hospital emergency waiting room after a six-hour wait for care.
Kamloops is known for genocide of kids in the children’s homes, churches and hospitals.
Nobody should ever have to die that way, due to a lack of care.
But it is going to keep happening, because there is an acute shortage of healthcare workers right now.
All over the nation, the shortage of nurses has become a really big deal, and new mandates are just making things even worse.
Hospitals are struggling to comply with the state’s nurse staffing requirements, as pandemic-induced burnout has exacerbated an already chronic nursing shortage nationwide.
But burnout isn’t the only thing compounding California’s nursing shortage: The state’s new vaccine mandate for health care workers, is already causing headaches for understaffed hospitals before it is even implemented.
Some traveling nurses who are in high demand nationwide, are turning down California assignments because they don’t want to get vaccinated.
There is a serious shortage of doctors as well, and this is a phenomenon that we are witnessing all over the globe.
For example, over in the UK the NHS may be unable to cope this winter because of a frightening shortfall of more than 50,000 doctors, the head of the British Medical Association has warned.
Here in the United States, our healthcare system has never been so close to a state of collapse.
In fact, one doctor recently wrote an article in which he claimed that it has already collapsed.
As a resident physician who has only trained in an era of Covid, I was asked to consider graduating from school early in April 2020 to help with medical staff shortages.
My time as a doctor has been defined by working in a system that has already collapsed.
The American health system I work in has featured limited personal protective equipment, oxygen shortages, and the construction of field hospitals in convention centers and parking garages.
Last winter, many hospitals across the country instituted crisis standards of care, forced to ration health services based on criteria that few people envisioned would be used outside of a mass casualty event, like a terrorist attack.
Today, hospitals are full in much of the country, with patients requiring an ICU being airlifted thousands of miles in search of a staffed bed.
These are not features of a health system that is approaching failure.
These are features of a health care system that has broken down spectacularly, forcing doctors and patients to climb through the rubble looking for help.
But just like every other industry, if we had enough people to do the jobs that needed to be done, we would be fine.
In all the years that I have been writing about the economy, finding enough workers has never been a problem.
Yet here we are in the middle of 2021, and all of a sudden there are millions and millions and millions of empty jobs all over the globe.
Once again, there is a question that I must ask.
Where did all the people go?
